Welcome to St. Luke's We are a warm parish family where everybody is welcomed. At St. Luke's, we worship God, we teach and nurture each other in the faith, and we spread the Good News. In our common life, we seek: in the essentials, unity; in the non-essentials, diversity; but in all things, charity. On the Parish Calendar
Hector Olivera to perform at St. Luke's, June 1 & 2, in a dedicatory concert for our new organ. Read more. Midweek Refresher: Wednesdays at Noon, in the Parish Hall. Bring a brown-bag lunch, and enjoy the fellowship, a brief lesson and discussion, and noonday prayers. Contact Fr. Jim for more information. Breakfast at St. Paul's: This Saturday, April 26, is our turn to help prepare and serve breakfast to the poor and homeless of the area. Everyone is invited to join us. Meet us at St. Luke's at 8:00 AM and we'll drive together; or meet us at St. Paul's (18th & Washington) at 8:30 AM. |
Sunday Schedule 8:00-9:00 AM The Holy Eucharist, Rite 1, with full sermon, organ and hymns. This quiet, lightly-attended service is the perfect way to start off your Sunday. 9:15-10:00 AM Christian education for all ages — 3yrs thru adult — is offered each Sunday. And our youngest members can attend the nursery while parents and/or siblings are in class. 10:15-11:30 AM The Holy Eucharist, Rite 2, with sermon, organ, choir and hymns. This family-friendly service offers everything you could hope for. The nursery is open for our youngest members so that parents can worship on their own. And for our members who are 3yrs thru 4th grade, there is a children's chapel service; children will be returned to their parents during the Peace, so that families can take Eucharist together. 5:00-5:45 PM Evening prayers, Bible study, and contemporary music make this worship service stand apart. Because it's still a fairly new service, and therefore lightly attended, we believe you'll find it to be casual and relaxing. In fact, "come as you are" and we'll have you out in time for dinner. For more information, contact Deacon Shawn Streepy. 5:00-6:30 PM Our awesome youth group offers students in grades 6-12 a weekly time for fun activities, prayerful reflection, and outreach to the community. Everyone in grades 6-12 is invited to join us ... and bring a friend. Sometimes, however, we have activities during the week instead of on Sunday evening. For more information about upcoming events and activities,, contact Christina Waggoner, our amazing youth group leader. |
