About the Vestry

The Vestry constitutes the senior lay leadership of the parish. They are not the only lay leaders of our parish – in fact, we have many lay leaders – but the Vestry is given the responsibility, along with the Rector, of the general oversight of a parish.

Vestries are elected annually at our Parish Annual Meeting in January, and each member serves a three-year term, with one-third of the members being replaced each year.

The Senior Warden is selected from the Vestry by the Rector, and that selection is approved by the Vestry. The Junior Warden is elected from the Vestry by the Vestry.

The Rector and Vestry meet together on the second Thursday of each month. These meetings are always open to the public, and any member of our parish is welcome attend any of our meetings, and may address the vestry if they so desire.
