Title: Experiencing God in Sacred Texts
In a fast-paced media driven culture where we take in thousands of images, sound bites, and headlines, you are invited to slow down and nourish your spiritual life with a morning engaging with sacred texts.
We can experience God through many texts including the Bible, Nature, Icons, music and more. Gather with other Episcopalians and like Elijah, who found God after the whirlwind, together we will listen for God’s still small voice.
Canon Lisa Senuta will guide the time using a variety of sacred text for your personal reflection in community. While it is a quiet day it is not a silent day. Expect to experience prayer practices that enrich your sense of God with you in the community of others.
Breakfast will be provided starting at 8:30 am and a lunch of sandwiches and chips will be provided after the closing of the retreat.
